Privacy Policy
TypeApp is a mobile, web and desktop application (“Application”) made with love by TypeApp LLC. The Application helps you manage your email and calendar using various functionalities and features (the “Services” we provide through the Application). 1. What Information do we collect?
1.1 Information that you provide to us:
- Account information: When you install or access the Application and set up your account, you provide us with your email account addresses (for the accounts you wish to manage through the Application), the display name for each of your accounts (optional), and a photo (optional) if you choose to upload it as your account avatar.
- Connected account data you choose to manage: In order to provide the Services, we access and process email and calendar data from the accounts you connect to TypeApp. This may include message metadata (such as sender/recipient, subject, timestamps, and folders/labels) and, depending on how you use the Services, message content (including body text and attachments) and calendar details. We process this data to display your mailbox, search/sort/filter, sync, and perform other features you enable.
- Support communications: When you contact us for customer support, we may collect the information you choose to share (such as your name, email address, and the content of your request). With your permission, we may also ask you to provide diagnostics such as screenshots and technical logs that help us investigate and fix issues.
- Sync Services: You may use optional Sync Services to synchronize certain data such as Application settings and preferences, and other information you choose to store through the Services, which may be stored on our Cloud.
- Groups: When you create a group, we may store the group name, avatar, notes, and email addresses of the group members in our Cloud.
- Smart Filter signals: If you use features like Smart Filter, you may provide (or we may derive) information such as email addresses you interact with in order to deliver the feature.
- Reports: If you report emails as misclassified, safe, or malicious, we may process the information you submit to help analyze, debug, and improve classification and security. You control what you choose to submit.
- Notifications / Instant Push (optional): If you enable notifications or “instant push” style features, we may process device push tokens and the minimum message information needed to deliver notifications and keep your inbox in sync.
- Optional device features: Depending on the features you enable, the Application may request access to device capabilities (for example, contacts, calendar, photos, or notification permissions). You can control these permissions in your device settings.
Are you obligated to provide us with this private data?
You are not obligated to provide us with any of the above information. However, we will not be able to provide you with the Application and Services or part of them, as applicable, if you do not agree, or withdraw your consent.
1.2 Information that we collect from third parties:
Analytics for Web and Mobile
We may use web and mobile analytics tools to measure traffic and usage patterns and to help us understand how the Services perform on your device. These tools may collect information such as device and app information (e.g., device model, operating system, app version), usage events, IP address, and approximate location derived from IP address.
Advertising (Mobile Apps) – Google AdMob and Similar Providers
TypeApp may display advertisements in our mobile apps using third-party advertising services such as Google AdMob. These advertising partners may automatically collect and process certain information from your device and your interaction with ads in order to provide, deliver, and measure advertisements, to limit ad frequency, and to detect and prevent fraud and abuse.
The information collected by advertising partners may include identifiers such as the advertising identifier (for example, IDFA on iOS and AAID on Android), IP address, device and app information (such as device model, operating system, app version, language and time zone), coarse location information derived from IP address, and information about ad impressions and interactions. Depending on your settings and (where required) your consent, advertising partners may use this information to provide personalized or non-personalized ads.
For more information about how Google uses information from apps that use its services, see Google’s advertising technologies and Google’s Privacy Policy.

Non-Hardware Identifiers
When you provision or access TypeApp on a mobile device (like a smart-phones or tablet), we may access, create, monitor or remotely store identifiers such as Instance ID or GUID which uniquely identify our app. Only TypeApp can access these identifiers. We do not use any hardware identifiers such as Unique Device Identifier (UDID), SSAID (Android ID) and IMEI and we have no way to identify the specific hardware you use.
2. How do we use the information we collect?

- Legitimate interests: processing necessary for our legitimate interests, such as improving and securing the Services, preventing abuse, and providing customer support, where those interests are not overridden by your rights.
- Consent: where required by law (for example, certain advertising, analytics, or device permissions), we process data based on your consent, which you may withdraw at any time.
3. Whether and How Your Information is Shared?
We do not rent your personal information. We may share personal information with third parties in the circumstances described below to operate the Services, comply with the law, and support advertising in our mobile apps.

- Business Transfers: If TypeApp is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, dissolution, or sale/transfer of some or all assets, information may be disclosed as part of that transaction (including during due diligence) and transferred to a successor or affiliate.

- Object / restrict: In some jurisdictions, you may have the right to object to or restrict certain processing (including direct marketing).
- Deletion: You may request that we delete personal information we hold about you, subject to legal and operational exceptions (for example, maintaining records required by law or needed for security and fraud prevention).

- U.S. State privacy rights (including California): Residents of certain U.S. states may have rights to know/access, correct, delete, and to opt out of “targeted advertising” and (in some states) the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information as those terms are defined by applicable law. You may also have the right not to be discriminated against for exercising your privacy rights. To submit a request, contact us at [email protected].
- Advertising choices: You can typically control whether you receive personalized ads by adjusting your device settings. For example, you can reset or limit use of the advertising identifier in your iOS/Android privacy settings, and you may be shown a consent prompt (where required) to choose personalized vs. non-personalized ads.
6. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as necessary to provide the Services and for legitimate business purposes such as security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, and legal compliance. Retention depends on the type of data and how you use the Services. For example, we generally retain account-related information for as long as your account is active; support communications and diagnostics for a limited period after resolution; and security logs for a limited period appropriate to protect the Services. Advertising partners (such as Google AdMob) retain information under their own policies.
7. Security
Security is extremely important to us. We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, such as encryption in transit where appropriate, access controls, and monitoring for suspicious activity. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a security incident affecting your personal information, we will notify you and/or relevant authorities as required by applicable law.
Advertising
We use third-party advertising services (such as Google AdMob) in our mobile apps. These partners may collect and process information (including advertising identifiers) to provide and measure ads, to limit ad frequency, and to detect and prevent fraud.
